What a rain storm we had this morning. I would say we ended up with around 3 inches in about an hour or so. I don't know exactly how much we got because I didn't get the rain gauge up until about 15 minutes into the rain storm. This was the result of a couple of bad decisions on my part.
The first of these decisions was to go walking. I didn't realize that it was suppose to rain in the morning. I though it was going to happen until late in the afternoon. I should have known that when I left the house the west sky was starting to darken. About 15 minutes later it started to sprinkle. I decided to cut the walk short and head back home. My only smart move of the morning. I had gone to much father when it started to thunder and a light rain started. I was about half way back home when I made the second mistake. I was fairly dry from the light rain because the trees were shielding me. This gave me a false optimism so I decided to make a detour and get an extra half mile in. Very bad mistake. I wasn't that far into the side route when it started raining harder. I thought I might as well keep going on the detour. The farther I went the harder it poured rain. By the time I got home it had even hailed a bit. Needless to say I was rather soaked. Just check the pictures out above. These were taken right when I got home. It was all rather laughable and funny. I did have a good time though. When I got home I decided to set out in the rain since I was already wet and watch the cars wade through my intersection. I love to sit out in a warm summer rain. The people in the cars probably thought I was little crazy I bet.
Well I hope you enjoyed the story and the pictures. In the next couple of days I have plenty pictures of today's sunrise and my memorial Day cookout, so be looking for them. 'TILL NEXT TIME- THE GREAT ONE
