HAPPY EASTER!

THE CROSS

THE ROAD TO THE CROSS WAS RUGGED ONE FOR OUR LORD.

THROUGHMANY TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS DID OUR LORD JESUS ENDURE.

ONE FRIEND BETRAYED HIM.

ANOTHER HAD DISOWNED HIM THREE TIMES.

HIS OWN PEOPLE HAD REJECTED HIM, THE ONES HE CAME TO SAVE.

THEY CHOOSE A MURDERER TO FREE INSTEAD.

WHAT WAS HE THINKING WHEN HE CLIMBED THAT HILL?

WAS IT ABOUT HIS FATHER?

WAS IT ABOUT HIS TASK AHEAD?

WAS HE THINKING ABOUT THE PAIN HE WAS ENDURING?

OR WAS HE THINKING ABOUT HOW MUCH HE LOVED EACH OF US?

BUT TO THE CROSS DID HE STILL GO.

TO BE LIFTED UP FOR ALL TO SEE.

TO BEAR OUR SINS ON HIS SHOULDERS,

TO BE CRUSHED BY THEM..

HIS BLOOD COVERED CLENSED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS.

BY HIS WOUNDS WERE WE HEALED,

BECAUSE HE WAS GOD'S SPOTTLESS PASSOVER LAMB.

BUT AT THE CROSS, JESUS DID NOT STOP.

FOR IF HE DID HIS VICTORY WOULDN'T BE COMPLETE.

SO TO THE TOMB HE DID GO.

HERE TO WRESTLE WITH DEATH ITSELF.

THREE DAYS, LATER ON THAT FIRST EASTER MORN,

HE ROSE FROM THAT TOMB AND HIS VICTORY WAS COMPLETE.

THE ROAD TO THE CROSS WAS A RUGGED ONE FOR OUT LORD JESUS.

I hope everyone had a good Easter, I know I did. I spend it with my family, both my acutal and my Church. You can't get much better than that. I hope everyone remembers what this day is about. It isn't about family, candy, easter eggs, new cloths, easter bunnies or even going to church. It is all about what happened almost 2000 years ago. What Jesus, my Lord and Savior and hopefully yours, did for us. He went to the cross to be a sacrifice for us, to pay the price for our sins. By doing this He showed us how much He loved us. He showed us how to serve others with love. He is the truth, the light, the way. By rising from the tomb three days later, He defeated death once and for all and gave us all eternall life. So remember the real reason that we celebrate Easter this year. 'MAY GOD'S BLESSINGS BE WITH EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU 'TILL NEXT TIME.
