Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Between being a little sick and having a pain in the neck early in the week. I haven't felt like doing much lately. For the most part I just went to work, came home tried to relax a little and then went to bed early. Now I just have to but up with an annoying cough that is if true to history will last a couple more weeks. So if you see me and I am coughing, I am probably feeling fine it is just this stupid cough that won't go away. Well that is my story and I am sticking to it.
Now for last weekends road trip. I took my mom up to see my niece Elizabeth dance. That part of it didn't take long. She was in the second group to dance and we didn't feel like staying around for all of it. So we were out of there in fifteen minutes or so. We then headed back to my brothers place to hang out and build a deck. Well I really didn't help a whole lot on the deck unless you considered keeping my nephew occupied and out of my brothers hair. Let me tell you kids can really wear you out. I thought my arms would fall off from pushing Sam on the swing all afternoon. We had fun throwing bits of gravel in the road side ditch also. After Elizabeth got back from her second performance we made some of my famous homemade pizza. The kids insisted on helping me with the toppings. Let's just say not all of the cheese and peperoni made onto the pizzas. After an hour or so in the hot tub me and mom headed for home. Luckily we didn't hit much rain on the way home. Most of the roads were wet from the time we hit Olathe until we got home though. The radio kept telling us we would hit some big storms, which we didn't. We did get to see a good light show though. Going through Lawrence was interesting also, mainly do to the cops driving in front of us. Or should I say stopping in the middle of the intersections. Remind not to go through downtown Lawrence on a Saturday night at around 11:00 PM. I don't remember it being that bad when I was up there. Of course those stories are for another time. You should ask me about them sometime. But lets finish the homeward bound story. We almost got all the way home without even seeing any rain. But God must of wanted to play a joke on us. About the time I pulled into my mom's parking lot it started to pour rain. So by the time I ran into her apartment. found an umbrella and then got her inside. We were both wet. Then as soon as turned out of her parking lot, the rain all but stopped. So I am sure you guys are all laughing now. Well time for me to go. 'TILL NEXT TIME.
THE GREAT ONE
